A notice tells your city about a birth, a wedding, a graduation or someone who has passed away. Each city space gathers its notices under Notices, and they show in feeds like any post.
Notices are written on the website for now. The iPhone app shows them.
For someone who has passed away:
Leave out bank details and phone numbers. Mention the cause of death only if the family wants it known, and share photos only if the family is comfortable with them. For a birth, leave out the hospital and the time.
Notices can't be edited, like any post. Post a change, such as a new service time, as a reply to your notice, and it shows under it. To start again, delete the notice and post a new one. If you delete it by mistake, select Undo within 30 seconds.
On a condolence notice, Send condolences takes the place of Like. Only whoever posted the notice sees who sent condolences and how many. You can also reply with a few words. Only the poster can put links in the replies, because fake livestream and donation links have been posted under real notices elsewhere. Condolence notices can't be quoted.
Only a verified organisation can add a fundraiser, and only to a condolence notice. It has to be a full campaign link on GoFundMe, mycause or Chuffed, and it can't go in the notice's text. Notices can't include bank details or a PayID. Mavuno never handles money.
Before a fundraiser opens, Before you give lists what to check. Mavuno checks the organisation, not the fundraiser. If you're raising money for a family, ask a church, mosque or association that's verified on Mavuno to share the notice. An organisation can ask a moderator to be verified.
Report a notice that isn't true as False or misleading information, and a fake fundraiser as A scam or fraud.
