- 3 to 30 characters: letters, numbers and underscores, like jean_paul. Capitals become lowercase.
- Not one somebody else has.
- When you join, not a name that gives away your email, such as your email provider (gmail) or your email's domain. Usernames are public.
- Not a name Mavuno uses itself, such as admin, help or mavuno.
How to change your username
- Go to Settings › Account.
- Type the new one under Username. You're told straight away if it's free.
- Select Change username.
What changes when you change it
Your posts, followers and messages stay with you. These change:
- Your profile moves to the new address, and old links to it stop working.
- Your invite link changes, because it ends in your username.
- Mentions of your old username in earlier posts no longer lead to you.
- Your old username becomes free for someone else to take.
